The Dramatic Coastline of Tung Ping Chau

Hello, Friends!

The single, most remarkable thing about Tung Ping Chau - even more so than the diving, the trek and the old village - is its coastline. To describe it as "dramatic" would be an understatement. It's a wonder of nature - jagged rocks piercing the waves in razor-sharp, diagonal edges that are so delicately layered, they might as well be sheets of wafers.

Walking along the coastline alone is worth coming to Tung Pig Chau, waking up extra-early in the morning to catch the only commuter ferry coming here, which only makes trips on weekends and Public Holidays.

The trip may have been slow, noisy and uncomfortable. But the reward is an eye-popping wonder that humbled me yet again to the ultimate ascendancy of Mother Nature.

With Affection,
James
