And is it really hard to see why? Unlike Glee, Smash's original songs have the confidence of believable hits.
Jennifer Hudson shows so much of her voice in this track - her signature brassy sound, unbelievable power and range, a fearlessness to go to an "ugly" break and yet stay beautiful, a peerless ability to paint a story, and a heartbreaking softness towards the end.
Bring back Smash!!!
